Equipment you will need:

Food processor or high powered blender

Fine mesh

Container with lid to store milk

 

The ingredients you will need are:

1 cup of raw almonds soaked for at least 8 hours in a cup of water

8 cups of filtered water

Optionally, you can add a pinch of sea salt, vanilla and sweetener of preference. We use 3 pitted Medjool dates, but you can also use agave, date syrup, or coconut sugar to sweeten the milk.

Once you have all your ingredients, follow these steps to make your own almond milk at home:

Drain and rinse the soaked almonds.

Place the almonds and water in a blender and process until completely crushed. If you are going to use dates, you can put it in the blender with the almonds and the water.

Strain the mixture through a fine mesh to remove any almond pieces.

If you are going to use any other sweetener, this is the time to do it to your liking.

Serve the milk fresh or store it in a covered container in the fridge for about 7 days.
